Shari O'Donnell, Founder & Chief Development Officer
Shari is the Founder and Chief Development Officer of Godland Group. She orchestrates national development projects, builds aerospace and defense consortiums, and grows companies in NextGen technology, gaming, and entertainment. Her strategies aim to foster economic ties and minimize conflict, securing de-risked foreign direct investment and supporting global agendas. Her expertise spans building global consortia across various sectors from PPP to privately held ventures. She orchestrates conglomerates, managing projects from inception to delivery while securing private capital as an FDI. Shari collaborates with governments and private entities to tailor trade terms and engineer deals that unlock potential in underdeveloped regions. She helps grow venture studios, startups, and emerging companies by securing major new business, de-risking investment, growth finance, and leading pre-seed and Series A-F investment rounds.
While at ODEM Consultants, she engineered national development deals, unlocking underdeveloped regions by leveraging their natural resources. Shari also created and launched the WOSP² Initiative to help solving real-world problems safely, through gaming, securing each game substantial government incentives and resources.
With a background as an entertainment executive, Shari has made strides in multiple entertainment houses that garnered over 50 awards while securing major elements such as finance, IP, and talent. During her career, Shari has worked alongside African ambassadors, CEOs, and business leaders. She spent three years at a Tencent Gaming subsidiary with revenue exceeding $1 billion annually. In 2020, she founded the P2P Initiative, to help aliviate homelessness in LA while funding private mental health services. She also sits on the Board of Directors of Womenful Voice, a non-profit empowering women and young girls in Haiti.
Shari was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to LA in 2011. She pursued her studies in law and film before gaining extensive operational experience. Her father served in the military, while her mother, originally from Tipperary, worked on the frontline before becoming a homemaker.
